Default A question about importing OMF from Final Cut for audio sweetening

Hey DUC community,

I have a TV program that I have to do some sweetening before it goes out, but I only have a very short time when I get it till it has to leave for the station. I could do a better job if the omf from final cut would import Gain/Level settings. So I ask you all, is there any way to do this?

Also, please no response about "why do you want to" or " your the audio guy," or something about the time. Thanks

FCP 6 and higher will output volume.

That said, I have never, even in a rush job, used the video editor's volume automation.

Just have to make sure your video editor checks the box to include that information.

when importing the omf in PT be sure to click convert clip based gain to automation.
