Default harddrives

So does one daisy-chain external harddrives to augment the CPU power to play back more tracks?

It doesn't augment the CPU power but it will give you access to more tracks.

The CPU usage, when I integrate the use of a hefty amount of RTAS plugins, usually fills right up to the peak level. How can I get more CPU power for playback? Hardware upgrade-wise.

1. Increase RTAS CPU system %
2. Increase buffer size
3. Use less power hungry plugs
4. Get a faster computer
