Pro Tools 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105
I've seen people talk about this error and other plugins but not with Console 1. I've tried the newest and the previous installers of Console 1 but keep having the same problem.
Usually a prefs trash and restart allow me to open up a session, but now I'm not even getting that to work. The only thing that works is to take the Console 1 plugin out of the used plugins folder. Then sessions open normally. I've used both a 2009 Mac Pro with El Capitan and a new MacBook Pro and had the same issues. Both running an Octo UAD card and 2 Quads. Deinstalled Eucontrol but made no difference. Of course now that I've started using the Console 1, I can't live without it. |

Re: Pro Tools HD 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105 (now 12.8HD)
So I tried a previous version of the Console 1 software and that didn't work.
I updated to 12.8 and back to most up to date version of Console 1. Worked great for about 24 hours and now I'm back to not being able to open a session without a -9105 error. If I load the session without plugins all is fine. But if I try to reactivate a Console 1, then the whole track turns into a ring modulator. I guess I'm the only person with this specific problem... |

Re: Pro Tools 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105
Never had it but -9105 is a Plugin activation error so might wanna write Softube and ask. I have those guys down the street from me so I can ask if you still have this issue.
I know this was an issue a few years back with Altiverb aswell but after a few updates it looks like that error disappeared, Let me know christopher

Re: Pro Tools 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105
Thanks. I've been in touch with Softube, but they don't have much else for me to try. Resetting OSD window before I open any session helps...some. But every little bit I still get the error. Then I have to trash all prefs and try again.
The update to 12.8 helped for 24 hours, but then back it came. |

Re: Pro Tools 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105
Hi Johan.
I have not been able to make any progress on it. I just cross my fingers that resetting the OSD window works, but it never does when I have someone looking over my shoulder. I guess it's just you and me working this way. Best, jd |

Re: Pro Tools 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105
My experience with 12.8 and Console 1:
Not sure how relevant since I run Windows 10 here, but after some initial hiccups, it has settled down pretty well. What had me cursing was, every time I booted the computer, the Console 1 window would open with a second window about hardware authorization and it would hang. After a minute or two, I could click on the window which would then freeze and turn white. Then Windows would pop up to tell me the program was not responding and I could select to close it(wasting about 3-4 minutes on every boot). Once that was off the screen, I could go into Programs and restart the Console 1 software, which would then work. (I have no idea if Mac has anything option like this). The solution seems to be running the software in Windows 8.1 compatibility mode(I set this several days ago and its been solid ever since). BTW, softube's support is kind of slow, but they WILL get back to you. Hope you get it sorted and can offer some Mac-specific advice

Re: Pro Tools 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105
Yeah, that sounds like a different kind of pain than mine. However I do have to pull out the USB from the Console 1 after every reboot because of some nonsense. Thankfully it just takes a second and after that it is fine.

Re: Pro Tools HD 12.7.1, Console 1 and -9105 (12.8 now...)
So after a few -9105's tonight, I was staring at the session folder and instead of trashing prefs, with Pro Tools open but no session, I decided to just trash the WaveCache file and see what happened. Did it and the session opened right up.
Tried it successfully 2 times tonight, and will try it again the next time it happens, but knock on wood... |

Nope, that only worked a couple of times and isn't working now on another song. Sheesh.
