It seems the Siig store that he pointed you to sells in the UK as well...

Or you might contact them to see if they have a UK reseller.

Hello there, I haven't looked too far into this yet but I have been considering going with an eSATA drive myself. I need an external drive and my laptop (a dell m2400) has a native eSATA port. It also has a FW400 port, but the chipset is made by Ricoh and not on the supported list. I've ran into problems using an unsupported FW-HBA with a 003 Rack in the past and am skeptical. In this scenario, I am using only an MBOX 2 Micro and maybe just using a FW drive for audio on an unsupported HBA might not be an issue. Does anybody have any thoughts about this idea? Thank you in advance for any replies!

My thoughts would be "Try it!" its already there.

I would be surprised if the FW hard drive gave you fits with the Ricoh FW chip. One would presume that the HHD's buffer would make up for any weirdness. Now a FW interface streaming audio would be more prone to disruption.

Do not waste your time trying to use e-sata card on you mbp.
Your computer will keep crashing at 26-27 minutes.
I've been there.
I have no crashes since switching to a firewire 800 card.

Check my other thread "computer crashes at 26 min"
If you dont believe me.
