Default Studio Furniture ; suggestions ?

has anyone out there found something really nice to mount a ProControl on ? nice shelf for monitors and speakers, room for mouse & keyboard etc.

i'm looking for something to house a 16ch system, and although i've seen a few contenders, it would be reassuring to have the benefit of your collective wisdom.

thanks

I need to have my forearms on the front of PC, I dont need the faders or dsp top buttons any further away from me than they are already, so the argosy and its padded arm rest is a no no for me...I also want the underneath of the desk, just a few inches above my knees. Presently the PC is on an office desk and is way too high.
I had daydreams of an 'S' shaped stand so I could have the back of PC hover over the faders in on a regular studios desk....(I am freelance) but I think it's just too heavy to expect to suspend it over anything valuable!
So, to recap, low, no armrest and potential to sit in the sweetspot at a regular studio...My ProControl stand dreams....

My ProControl is also sits too high at the moment. I'm planning some custom millwork and though I'd like to have the ProControl sitting pretty low, the problem is that you really need to have a sliding shelf for the computer keyboard. I'm thinking of asking the millwork guy to cut out a section of the desktop for the sliding shelf in order to buy that much more (about 1-1/2 inches) in lowered ProControl height without banging my knees. The Argosy stuff looks way to big and clunky to me in their ads; not interested.

Anybody interested in a plexiglass script holder that would slide across a 16+ channel ProControl and keep paperwork off the unit? What would you pay? Just curious. Trying to come up with a fabrication plan for my own.

later, j mcd

I've got the Mission Control, which contains a qwerty keyboard and trackball mouse , housed in a fader pack shell, I got it just so I wouldnt need to find room for a keyb and mouse as I move it from studio to studio....

I have a wonderfully ergonomic design for a Procontrol, 2 LCD flatscreens, a keyboard and trackball and the name of a great company in So.Cal. who will build on-site. There name is
Pacific Coast Design. It is definitley not mobile but for anyone looking for a stationary set-up these guys are great!

Is there any way for you to set up a link for a jpeg of your stand? I would be really interested to see what it looks like. Or maybe email....
