Been using SVP happily for many years but recently been also hearing disheartening rumors of Opcode's demise. Does anyone know more about this?

What have you heard. I, too, have been using SVP for many years but haven't heard of any demise. Let me know what you have on them and I'll see if I can't do a little investigation myself.

SVP 4.5 was announced a few days ago. What happened to their user forum though.

I'm a user since there onset back in the 80's. I would be so dissapointed if this were to be true. I depend greatly on their software and it's my buisness. It is greatly appreciated to any one poosting up any info you guys may have regarding this. For my benefit, I hope this is not true.

I understand that Opcode is hiring programmers. Doesn't sound like an action Of a company in retreat.

Thanks to all for the response to my original message. It's true that SVP 4.5 is coming out soon and it's true that they are hiring new programmers. But it's also true that Gibson is having second thoughts on SVP. From the experience of SVP 4.2.2 I only hope that 4.5 will reassure users that things are up and coming. I don't think the problem here is Opcode or its programmers: it's Gibson.
