Instrument Track: Stereo converted to Mono
I have an Instrument track with a Signal Generator and several other plugins on, from which I inadvertently deleted some automation data. The track is a mono Instrument track.
I checked on my previously Carbon Copy Cloned version and it's all correct, so tried Importing Session Data, but then I noticed that the track is stereo, which means I can't copy and paste my automation data to the new track. How has this happened? And is there any way of converting the newly imported Session Data into Mono, so that I can copy over my automation data? Thanks Edit: Screenshot attached of the two tracks. Signal is the track I want to keep (as I have modified it in other ways since the backup) and paste the automation data onto, and Signal.1 is the result of Import Session Data. You can see one's mono the other's stereo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/6936867...in/photostream

Re: Instrument Track: Stereo converted to Mono
I've found the source of the problem, but I don't know how to get around it.
When I change Amplitube to No Insert, it removes all automation data from subsequent plugins in the chain. This is the only plugin which makes PT think it needs a stereo track (because it is listed as "mono/stereo"). I can Import Session Data to a new track, the created track is stereo, remove Amplitube (which converts it to a mono track), but then all automation data on subsequent plugins is gone. A message pops up when trying to remove Amplitube which says "Removing the insert will cause ." Which is of course remarkably helpful.

Re: Instrument Track: Stereo converted to Mono
Just make the Amplitude plug-in inactive?
Cheers,

Re: Instrument Track: Stereo converted to Mono
Good shout, didn't work if I made it inactive on the new track I'd imported session data to, it remained as stereo and therefore I couldn't paste the automation data to it. But I reinserted an Amplitube on my destination track and then made it inactive, that worked.
Thanks!
