Yup, as mentioned this is standard behavior. The 'clipping' led is yellow as you're not really clipping the track due to the 64-bit mix bus.
Took some getting used to. Probably obvious, but clipping can of course still occur within plugins and wherever there's a bitrate conversion e.g. the points where the signal goes through ADDA conversion. Like with a hardware send on the track.
