pro tools 10 download question
hi,
i purchased pro tools 10 today believing i could use it with my m audio 1010lt pci cards. can anyone tell me if this is correct? a further question, im not sure if anyone can help me with it but after purchasing LE to Pro Tools 10.0 Crossgrade Teachers today i can get all the way to the downloads page but it has a drop down box for hardware interface with the following options mbox 2 mbox2 pro mbox2 mini mbox2 micro 002 003 mbox (3g) mbox pro (3g) mbox mini (3g) eleven rack venue sc48 d-show fwx firewire card and another box to enter the serial number. pro is my hardware interface is the 1010lt pci card and that is not listed. can anyone help me with this please. many thanks |

You purchased the wrong cross grade product. It sounds like you purchased the Protools LE to Protools 10 crossgrade. This requires you to own a Digidesign/Avid interface to qualify for the cross grade price. You need to get the Protools M-Powered to Protools 10 crossgrade (if you have Protools M-Powered) and it cost about $100 more. If you don't own Protools M-Powered, you need to buy the full Protools 10 retail version.
At this point, your best option is to contact Avid to get this straightened out.

I am in the same situation as acuthbertson. I bought (and already paid for!) Pro Tools 10, and I can not download it. I have a regular license of Pro Tools 5.1, and a Audiomedia III card, so I should be within the requirements of the crossgrade offer! Since PT 10 works with any ASIO-compatible card, even produced by third-party, I would use it with my Focusrite Saffire Pro 14. I think this is right! acuthbertson, have you solved your problem? I have written several times to Avid, but I do not receive a response. It's very annoying... What address can I write to solve the problem? Since this problem has already occurred (both to acuthbertson and to me), I think Avid should solve it, and that was not our mistake, but a lack of clarity in the purchase process.
