dyn and LE
so, without going into why I just noticed it today,... what wxactly is the 'dyn' button for on the fader/cahnnel strip? I can turn it off, or leave it at 'dyn' (apparently the default). OFF seems to kill/mute the track. Only reference I found in the 7.0 guide seems to indicate its HD only.... so why is it here?

Re: dyn and LE
I believe it's voice assignment. (as I remember)
The "Dyn" represents Dynamic voice assignment, or something like that... LE has a certain number of voices that can be used. (32) I think you can have more than 32 tracks, but those tracks won't be voiced. I suppose you could use them for edit clipboards or something, but they won't playback. That is unless you flipped the switch on one of your other tracks to "OFF". Then a voice would become available for use elsewhere. |
