PT 10 not playing audio on some tracks. help please [SOLVED]

Hi i am running a mac 2.3 GHz i7 16gig of ram on osx 10.9.4

I have a ProTools 10 session with many tracks. Some of the audio is not playing back.
The system is not working or trying to relink any audio. All the audio and PT files are on one drive. The audio clip is still showing the waveform but no audio is showing on the track meter. When i duplicate the track it plays a few times and then stops.
i bounced the audio to another track and it seems fine so far but the session is way to big to this for all the tracks. i used ProTools Prefs & Database Helper which did nothing. i did a "save copy as" which did nothing.

can anybody help i am way passed deadline and need this sorted asap.

Did you delete the WaveCache.wfm file inside the session folder? Are you prompted to relink any files? If so, select manual and by name.

i have trashed everything and im not prompted to relink anything.

Have you tried creating a new session and using the Import Session Data command?

Hom many tracks in your session ? How many tracks allowed in your system ?

there is maybe 50ish including aux and midi, using about the same in bus's busses. my system is a
