Kore Player Freezes PT 9...

Play with PT 9 and KORE Player last night was a nightmare.

Fire and ICE.

OIL and WATER.

Whole system locks up.

Had to hard reboot it.

Anyone else?

Try enabling the Error suppression options in the playback engine. I'm running Kore 2/controller with these settings and all is good.

Kore player freezes my system on 8.04 all the time. It might be a pc thing.

Yes 8.0.3 was the same for me.

Have the Same problem here.
But I didn't have it on Win7 32. Now that I change laptop I have this HUUUGE massive overload of cpu when I open a session with a kore player in it.

Hard reboot required, total freeze, any solution?

I have said it once on here, I have said it twice on here, I have said it three times on here, I have said it four times on here? now IM saying it five times one here, Native Instruments Plug-Ins are unstable in Pro Tools 8, 8.0, 8.0.1, 8.0.4, 8.0.4cs2, 8.0.5, 9, 9.0.1 and 9.0.2...... It's just unstable...I stopped using any Native Instruments Plug-Ins over a year ago....I do not think its even worth it to download any of the Native Instruments Plug-Ins even for free and take a chance of it locking up my session on any Pro Tools.

As you may have heard, Native Instruments have bizarrely discontinued the entire Kore product line (software, hardware, soundpacks, everything).

The Pro Tools compatibility problem has never been fixed.

I urge anyone who'd like for Kore to work properly in PT to contribute to this thread on the NI forum:

...and also to write to NI support to reiterate the issue. You can also PM the moderator Keir at the NI forum. He is in discussions with the developers.

There will be only two more Kore updates and if it is ever to work in Pro Tools without crashing, we have to get NI to write a bugfix into one of those updates.

I was having that problem, I am running win 7 64 bit.I had to change some setting in play back engine I think.. I have no more problems,,,, it was something to do with the processors I think..

Hi bonzerboy - that's interesting. Could you describe specifically what settings you changed? Are you definitely able to reopen sessions in which Kore is active without any problems at all?

I'm aware that setting the playback engine to 'ignore errors' helps when playing back a session that contains Kore, but the killer issue for me is the system crash when simply opening a session with Kore in. I couldn't find any playback engine settings that prevented this, so would be interested to hear what you've done.
