Cedar has an outboard processor that will do this, and Sonic Solutions NoNoise can do it. I don't know of any currently available plugins for Pro Tools that will do it.

Interestingly enough, there is a certain New York based Mastering House, rather well known, that had a proprietary method custom built. It works like a dream. Does seem like a pretty easy thing to create though, right? I mean, there's a lot of devices that will tell you exactly when and where they occurred, it would seem as though the logical next step would be to have it fix as well. As for torturing the engineer (that's what clients are for)and who out there can honestly say that they have never, ever clipped?

Waves L1 or L2 works great for clipping.
For pops and cracks, they also have X-noise, X-click, x-snap,crackle, pop. Watch for new releases of X-games at NAMM.

I just uploaded them. Those are the standard presets that ship with the plugin. For some reson they were not included in the early demoes, making it difficult for people to evaluate the reverb and causing complaints. Uploading to the Preset Coop was an easy solution.

Oh...

I just thought I'd scored a bunch of different and good R1 settings. I guess I already had 'em. Oops! I'm as dumb as a post sometimes...

(in the voice of Emily Latella) "Never Mind!"

Okay, we can get back to talking about 'cilpping' now... soooooorrrry.

Thanks, but I didn't create the Reverb One settings files, Bobby Lombardi did.

Frederick-

Aren't those your entries on the digitalaudiorock site? Well whoever did 'em, they're actually useful.

If Sonic can come up with something, why can't digi? this is a very common problem. I'm most often editing and mixing things, and not tracking them, so a "De-Clipper" would be a great help to me.

Help me digi... help, help, me digi...

PS: Reverb One is the king of TDM verbs.
