consolidating region error?

getting a weird one

when I go to consolidate a track, it redraws the tracks as a blank with a straight line down the middle.
very annoying!

ideas?
(plays, by the way, just no screen draw)

when you Recalculate Waveform Overviews, does the accurate waveform come back?

didn't

but the thing is, today, after quitting and reopening, it's working again.

weird one.

and today it's back to no redraw!

plus, it seems to be endlessly searching for fade files now
