Default Empty Folders Issue

With ProTools 5.1.3 (AVoption) on a G4 (Mac OS 9.1) I have the following problem: whenever I open an existing Session, (lets say on Audio Hard Drive A) ProTools (or the OS or whatever) creates an empty folder (with the same name) on all other hard drives including the system drive. So let's say I opened ten different sessions I always have to delete ten empty duplicates on all other drives, which drives me crazy because on busy days you always have to look and search for the real sessions... Maybe someone can help

Do you have your session default set to ROund-Robin on the disk drives?

Check your disk allocation for the session. Even if round robin is off, every time you launch a session a folder will be created on every disk that has a track allocated to it. This often happens if you move a session from one disk to another and forget to re-allocate the tracks.

Hi Davip,

I checked disc allocation and all tracks are allocated to the same drive.
But it's the AVoption that I suspect now because I found out that the Video Track can be allocated to two different drives which has been the case. On the other hand that doesn't really explain the appearance of empty folders on the system drive (which hasn't been allocated nor to video neither to audio)
