Default CD vs. CD/DVD Burning Software

I have an immediate need for a good CD burning program (music CDs in WAV or MP3 format). There seem to be lots of them out there, just wondered if one is "head and shoulders" above the rest. I would like to spend less than $100. if possible.

Separately, I see many packages (Roxio, Nero, Cakewalk, etc.) that have this software "bundled" with additional software to burn DVDs as well. Read some REALLY BAD reviews of Roxio CD & DVD Creator 6 . . . are any of these CD/DVD bundles worth considering?

Thanks!

As far as I know, Nero is the standard for CD burning, and I've never had a problem with it for CD or DVD. There should be some thorough info at dvdrhelp.com on the effectiveness of different CD/DVD software packages. The way prices are going, I would anticipate buying a DVD writer within the next 6 months. They are a very cost-effective back-up solution for audio, and if I can get my head around DVD authoring, anyone can

Thanks for the lead - I'll go to that website and do some homework!
