Default Question about templates/midi tracks...

When I save and load the template, the midi tracks load, but they are no longer mapped to the assigned single note... thus I have to go through each time and load the notes again. On a similar note, when I save the project and load it again, all of the single note mapped midi tracks are all changed to other, unrelated notes (???) (...and I have to change them back.) Any ideas? Thanks!
