Default Symphonic Orchestra Platinum

Before I purchase EastWest Symphonic Orchestra Platinum, is anyone aware of any compatibility issues w/PT LE 8?

I've found the EastWest PLAY engine to be compatible with PT8, but incompatible with other plugins (such as Structure, Kontakt, and the plugins included with PT LE); i.e. you can only use one or the other...

If I were you I would check out the soundsonline forum. No one has anything good to say about PLAY in PT8. Actually I don't believe PT8 is officially supported. EW is not even responding to posts regarding PT8 anymore.
My experiance has been bad.

YA I havent personally used EW Play in 8, but I recall reading a few bad post about their compatibility with 8 and speaking to Sweetwater tech support and they mentioned that it's a no go.

I've had a lot of trouble getting the Play version of EWQLSO Gold working in either PT7 LE or PT8 LE - stuttering, dropouts, LOOONG autosaves.

The distraction factor and workflow interruption just don't justify the benefits. I'm giving up for now and will continue to run QLSO in Kontakt (fine so far in 3.5).

Bummer. The Play features were promising and I'd love to invest in more of the East West libraries. May be it's time to switch over to Logic....

Could not agree more. I'm planning on buying Logic Express 9 as soon as it is officially supported by PLAY.
