Default little problem with Pt to omf export

I am exporting very basic single track narration record sessions pt5.13 as OMF aif. When I check the omf full circle and import back into PT, I have noticed little one frame clips before and after every narration take labeled as "sample accurate edit" . I have no fades on the clips, and I am not using the auto region fade in/out

How can I avaoid these?

You can't, not even if you make every edit exactly on a video frame boundary. They should sound perfectly, however annoying they may be.

hmmm

Perhaps I need to clarify --

I'm only concerned that when I re-import the OMF (just to make sure that it works) for each clip (say thirty clips) there are 2 corresponding one frame clips (60 total) callled "sample accurate edit."

Just wondering why they little files are there and can I set it up my omf export to avoid them?

Avids require all audio edits to be on frame boundaries. These machines do not support 'sample-accurate' OMF's.

I think because Digitranslator thinks your OMF is bound for an Avid it is adding these little clips to ensure that the sound edits lands on a frame line.

This is all part of the "Enforce Avid Compatability" option. If you turn this off, Digitranslator should not pad each edit to the nearest frame boundary.

Thanks for the info. Yes these omfs are headed for an Avid - only re-importing to make sure that they work. So, do you know off hand, if these little files will show up on the Avid side?
