Default MBOX STUDIO presets?

I have setup my MBOX to the way I normally use it for practicing and for use with Protools. every time I restart it, it doesn't remember its last settings and defaults to a basic setup that is not particularly useful for me. so I created and saved a preset that makes it work in a way that is useful to me. I cannot find a way to make the MBOX load that preset as the default, ie when I start it up! while I can open Control and select the needed preset, that's highly annoying. is there a way to accomplish this?

I am generally happy with the device, but this is a drag. any help would be appreciated. and yes, I have perused the online documentation to no avail...

I'm going to guess you have a master power strip that you shut down when you turn off your system? If you use the power button on the back of the Mbox to turn it off BEFORE killing the AC, then it should come back on with the correct settings(BUT, phantom power will be off even if it was on in the preset). I believe the phantom power thing is a safety decision(which I am on the fence about). Hope that helps

Ah Ha… Thnx for the reply. Indeed I do. I power down my computer, then turn off the power switch to turn of my speakers and interface! I’m away from the studio this week and will try your suggestion when I get back. It makes perfect sense

🤟

I'm still disappointed that the MBOX is discontinued. [sigh]

Me too! Seems like such a waste to abandon a product so soon(Avid? Are you paying attention?)
