You can use Hybrid 1.6 (RTAS version) in Pro Tools 10.
Pro Tools 11 and 12 require the AAX versions – and these cost extra.

There was an initial upgrade cost from Hybrid 1.6 to Hybrid 2.0 - and it still costs (today) US $29.99 – just to upgrade from Hybrid 2.0 to Hybrid 3.0
