Selecting Instrument Track Auto Rec Arms

Am I missing a preference thats changed in PT11? Or is this a bug?

Every time I select an instrument track, it auto record arms that track.

This is really annoying as I am not used to this workflow. Would like to be able to change it back to how PT10 works.

Im on Mac OSX 10.8.4 PT 11.01

Is the MIDI keyboard you are using an M-Audio Axiom Pro using Hypercontrol? If so, this bug has been around for some time. It started for me after PT 10.2 if I recall correctly. PT 10 through 10.2 did not exhibit this problem (for me anyways). I am presently on PT 10.3.6.

There were 2 or 3 threads in the VI Forum regarding this problem. The only common denominator appeared to be that every user was using an Axiom Pro. I am not aware of this problem with any other brand keyboard controller.

If you are using an Axiom Pro, disconnecting the USB and using your MIDI connection will eliminate the problem. It also means you will not have Hypercontrol activated.

The bug has never been addressed either by Avid or M-Audio. It is disappointing to hear it's happening in PT 11 also. However, I was under the impression Hypercontrol would not be supported in PT 11.
