Default Output Volume is LOW?

Hey guys,

I was experimenting with reamping a DI'd gutiar signal last nite and sorta ran into a couple problems. First off I would have to eliminate the master fader in order to keep from routing all the tracks through the output that i assigned for the track i wanted outputed. In the process of figuring how to send "only" the desired track out, i got some feedback. Everything seemed alright until outputed all my tracks back to 1/2 for playback, now my overall volume is almost half of what it was before i started. I even tried starting another session and it's the same problem, "low volume". Is there a chance I did something to the interface, or am i missing something hear? My monitors are cheap M-Audio DX4's, Could i of blown my monitors?

I'm using a MBOX PRO interface/W a..MAC BOOK PRO...

Thanks

I'm not quite understanding what you're saying here. Eliminating the Master Fader should do nothing to change the outputs where tracks are routed. Technically speaking, a Master Fader is ALWAYS there - it's just a matter of if you're showing it or not. The output that a track is routed to is determined by the output tab on the track.

It's really difficult to say what happened without you explaining in detail exactly what you did with routings.

You could try trashing preferences, which will 'reset' everything - maybe that will clear up the issue.

Did anything change with the Mix or Monitor knobs on the front of the Mbox 2 Pro during this process? Any change there could affect output volume.
