PT11 problem with Eleven Rack

Hello,

This is my first post here. I have an issue with pro tools 11.. I used eleven rack some years ago in studio and it worked fine; when pro tools started up, it silenced eleven monitoring. Now with pt11 my pro tools won't mute eleven rack; when I click rec on track I get kind of doubled sound. Of course it records right but it is really annoying to hear two guitar tracks at the same time when recording. Did I do something wrong with my settings or is this normal with pt11 & 11r ?

Basically, Arm a Stereo Audio Track with "Eleven Rig" as the input, then flip LLM twice.

Now PT11 should monitor correctly.

To me this seems like an issue with PT11 not resetting the sample rate on launch. If you launch PT10 and lower, you will here a 'click' on launch where PT switches the sample rate to 44.1, no matter what it is currently set on. With PT11, I never get that 'click' on launch. But I have no knowledge of exactly why this happens, just thinking out loud.

Anyway, the solution I posted is what works consistently for me.

Thanks for super fast response. It kind of worked; now I don't hear double sound anymore, but I still hear guitar even when I disarm the track. Weird issue.. But this helped me anyway!

Do you have an AUX track that is also monitoring?

I don't think so? I have tried with just one track in empty session and with guitar tracking session... I'm still running Pro Tools almost default settings. I haven't been using pt in many years so I'm kind of noob with this.

Yeah, start a new session, Default the IO.

Create ONE Stereo Audio track and ONE Stereo Master track.

Set the input of your Audio Track to "Eleven Rig L/R"

ARM the track (you may get doubling, so do the solution I posted)

Un-arm the track and see if you still hear the guitar.
