Anyone buy update their Waves V4 to V5.0 Platinum?

I was interesetd in buying a fello Waves Platinum package native for my PT system, it's the V4, and I was wondering if anyone has upgraded their V4 to V5.3 and where did they find a decent price, or dies it have to be from Waves?
With the ownership transfer of $150.00 and it looks like another $450.00 for the upgrade plus what I have to pay him,it's rather rediculous to buy it from someone else!

Did you verify that the WUP is only $450 from v4 to v5? How long is that WUP good for?

You can buy the Platinum bundle direct from Waves at 20% off retail right now. You can probably do better than that from a dealer.

I would email Waves and tell them what you want to do and they should be able to give you some sort of complete price for v4-v5 + WUP + transfer fee which you then add what you're paying for the 2nd hand version.

Don't forget you'll need an iLok if you don't have one. I used the iLok from my PTLE Factory bundle although Waves recommends an iLok just for their stuff.

I bought my Gold > Platinum upgrade through Sam Ash, as I do a lot of business with one store locally so I deal with the department manager.
