PTLE 6.4 free update HELP Hardware key needed?

Hi, I was having problems (in a past post) which I fixed. I wasnt able to run the program. SO I updated from 6.1.1 to 6.4. I Have a LEGAL version of 6.1.1 BUT NOW it says that I need the Hardware key for "Pro tools" le 6.4. Anyone know what the heck I should do? It says it's missing. Is there something I need?

You need to give your system details.. Are you using an 002, an mbox, what?

How did you get a "free" update to 6.4? Even the free updates require an auth code..

Give us more info and maybe someone can help!

right, right. I have an mbox, I have the legal disk of 6.1.1 with the auth code. The person I bought this from gave me a cd with version 6.4 on it. Thats where I installed it from. When I tryed to use the Auth code on the web site by creating a new login they said it was incorect. Would this be becouse its already assigend to the other person? Ugh. Any info would help.

What auth code from what website?

The Autorization code for the software should be on the inside cover of the Getting Started Guide. If I'm not mistaken, and I'm remembering correctly, the auth for 6.1.1 is the same auth for 6.4; you honestly shouldn't have to enter the authorization code at all, but if you do, it should be the same one you used to authorize 6.1.1
