Default Drives and folders

I've done a search but have not been able to find the full answer to what to do to set up my drives and directories. I'm new to PT so thanks for any help.

My system has 4 hard drives running on XP Pro. The first drive is running system OS and PT8. The second drive is setup for audio only. I am about to install other software such as BFD/Drumagog/Reason and other plugins like Massenberg EQ. Do I install these software/plugins on the third drive or do they go on the first drive with the OS and PT?

I'd like to keep my system as clean and functional as possible.

Yes, I've previously read that. However, it does not address my question.

I would think this is a pretty simple question, no one to answer?

You need to install Plugins, and "Applications" on your System / OS drive, with Pro-Tools

If any of those Plugins, or software, allow you to install "Sound files, Samples, or Libraries" on a location other then the OS drive, you can use another location.

I generally use a 3 drive setup.

- Drive 1 - OS and all applications
- Drive 2 - Sample Libraries, IR's, Loop Collections, Patches, etc...
- Drive 3 - Pro-Tools Sessions
