Default Connecting Avid HD Omni to Universal Audio 4-710d

Hi,
I need the help of a digital guru! I have the following setup:

Primary rig:
Avid HD IO 16x16 (Internal Clock set)
Secondary rig:
Avid OMNI (clock set to follow HD IO via the avid loop connection)

I've been very happy recording this way but I just acquired a Universal Audio 4-710d which has 8 digital outs via ADAT s/mux. I want to use the ADAT In on the omni and this is what I've managed:

HD IO still set as internal clock. For ext word clock if I set it to 96k the UA device syncs but I get no signal coming into the OMNI regardless of what input I choose. If I set clock to 48k then signal comes through but as follows:
OMNI still set to follow HD IO, and on digital ins it makes no difference if I select SPDIF or AES. On the inputs I select the pairs of inputs...however the problem:
UA input 1 routes perfectly to OMNI ADAT in 1
UA input 2 routes to OMNI ADAT in 1 (instead of 2)
UA input 3 routes to OMNI ADAT in 2 (instead of 3)
UA input 4 routes to OMNI ADAT in 2 (instead of 4)

Can you please help me with the right settings for the OMNI IO hardware?

Alternatively, I've also experimented with making the UA master clock and setting the external ADAT clock in protools but when I do that I get no signal from any channel.
TY

Problem Solved!
For anyone having this problem, the ADAT cables were reversed. Simply take one of them and switch it for the other!
