problems with hearing midi

Can someone help me please
I have digi 001
I am having problems hearing the midis on this website, any help is truly appreciated.Ican hear downloaded files. The digi 001 is set as the playback device. The website is below.

Open the files with Quicktime or Windows media player, these will read a general midi file and play back the sounds using a built in synthesizer that is able to playback a general midi soundset. The built in synthesizer output will pay through your designated soundcard (001)

With protools, import midi to region list, make some new instrument tracks, drag the midi regions from the region bin to an instrument track and insert an instrument plug in on the track. Now you have midi notes playing with the instrument of your choice.
