Great. Some new features as added bonus. I have to say their upgrade pricing is very reasonable so I myself will be buying as soon as I can think of buying new host

Is the code optimized for not taking a whole DSP for just 1 plugin?
If yes I will buy it at once.

Cheers Wolfgang

The new SoundToys V3 release is now available for download. This upgrade includes:

Universal Binary support for the full product line in Pro Tools TDM, LE, and M-Powered.

Support for Apple's Logic Pro 7, Digital Performer 5 and Live 6 with new Audio Units versions of EchoBoy, FilterFreak, PhaseMistress, Crystallizer, and Tremolator. (Speed support coming at a later date.)

New mono-to-stereo versions of Tremolator, FilterFreak1 & FilterFreak2 for dramatic stereo effects.

The addition of a front panel low-frequency cut control for EchoBoy for easy tweaking of the low-end.

Support for Pro Tools automation enable key command shortcuts on all plug-ins.

Exclusive new "Parameter Lock" function that allows you to lock down the wet/dry mix setting, or other parameters, while browsing the extensive SoundToys preset library.

The first 3 preset expander packs, Pulsator, FilterFunk, and Bass Guitar Tone Machine are now included in the SoundToy V3 update. Look for future preset expanders in the near future.

About freaking time! this has been driving me nuts for years and not just with Soundtoys?

Anyone know what changes there are in the upgrade to soundblender apart from UB support?

With all respect to the FINE people at SoundToys, this "upgrade" doesn't warrant 3.0 status based on the description.

1. i could care less about AU
2. "Exclusive new "Parameter Lock" function " - nothing "exclusive" about this. MOST processors default to 100% wet... and every hardware processor I've ever owned defaults to 100% wet. So should these professional tools.
3. "Support for Pro Tools automation enable key command shortcuts on all plug-ins." - uh, so? It was an omission that we couldn't do this standard-issue function.

Hey, I LOVE these plugs, and I learned to work around their limitations. But in my opinion, calling it 3.0 is a bit of a stretch. Intel compatibility probably required a total rewrite and they probably were working on this 24/7 for many, many months... but to me, still on PPC, $149 for some features that shold have been there all along... I'm going to pass.

When I move to Intel on my desktop rig, I'll cough up the upgrade. I still won't think it's worth calling it 3.0, but at least I will be happy to keep using these OUTSTANDING plugs.
