got pro tools express cd not recognized

just got my M-audio m track interface, tried to install pro tools express, my computer will not recognize CD ! any other CD's work fine ! created avid account, and have Ilok installed clueless as to what is keeping it from installing! anyone out there with any ideas ? thanks, Gadget

Sounds like you have a defective CD. In your Avid account, do you see Pro Tools Express? Perhaps you can download it from there.

never thought of that ! my wife's comp is right next to me duh !

she is running vista and the cd took right off ! went to inmusicbrands.com and they had a link for users that do not have an optical drive ! downloaded the zip file and am presently extracting files, just under 2 hours to go ! I have only been in this community for a few hours and already got help ! thumbs up and big hugs guys thanks ! Gadget

Glad you found a place to download the installer. I was not aware of the inmusicbrands.com site. If you are successful in getting Express installed, don't forget to download and install the virtual instruments that come with Express. I like Expand! but have not used Structure or Boom.
