Default Missing DigiRewire.dmp from Plug-Ins

I'm not sure how this plug in went missing, but I need Rewire working to run Soundminer effectively. I've tried trashing prefs and reinstalling both PT 8.0 and 8.1 from their .dmg updates and no joy. Any suggestions?

thanks much,

- A.

I had similar problems, if you do not have reason or did not install reason adaptive that came with most protools ignition packages..you can download the latest version of rewire here http://www.propellerheads.se/download/updates_rewire/ This is probably your best bet.

Hope this helps!

I've had the same problem. I cannot use Reason in ReWire mode, and I downloaded the most current version of Reason from propellerhead site and still no dice.

Tried that as well and despite my permissions being correctly set in HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-ins the Rewire installer tells me that it can't install all files (something about other software preventing it). AFAIK, DigiRewire.dmp is supposed to install with PT. I'm thinking that when this particular work crunch is over I'll uninstall PT, go back to my 7.x disc and then update again to 8.1. Thanks for the suggestion - anyone else care to weigh in?

I ended up doing an clean uninstall and then reinstalling. That brought digirewire back, but it crashed PT on boot up. A bit of research yeilded that if you have melodyne, but haven't updated it, that will cause your DigiRewire.dmp to crash PT. Deleted all melodyne files in HD/Library/Application Support/PropellorHeads/Rewire and everything works again.
