7.4.2 locks up with DigiReWire.dpm in Plug-ins Folder
7.4.2 locks up with DigiReWire.dpm in Plug-ins. It loads fine with DigiReWire.dpm moved to unused plug-ins folder.
I know this is not a new question but I haven't found a clear resolution. Note: I currently have no re-wire applications loaded on the system Macbook 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 duo OSX 10.5.5 PT 7.4.2 MBox 2 mini Ignition pack NOT INSTALLED YET |

Re: 7.4.2 locks up with DigiReWire.dpm in Plug-ins Folder
That's a strange scenario PTrust. If Pro Tools freezes on Digirewire.dpm when starting the program, it's usually due to an incompatible Rewire application (e.g Melodyne Essential or Reason). However, you say that these are not installed !!!
Quit any open applications. Open the computer's startup drive (commonly named "MacHD") and navigate to the "Library" folder, then to the "Application Support" folder, then the "Propellerhead Software" folder, and finally the "ReWire" folder Is there any application/device files in the "ReWire" folder? If so, these files need to be moved to the trash. For example, for Melodyne, these are "MelodyneEssentialRewireDevice" and "MelodyneEssentialRewireDevice.plugin" Pro Tools should now launch properly http://www.myspace.com/philogg |
