6.9 taking *forever* to load session
I'm getting occasional times when PTLE69 takes almost 10 minutes to load video and audio files...
At first, I thought it had frozen, so rebooted, but after I just left it once, and came back a few minutes later, the session was loaded and operated fine... I replicated this extremely slow load time (almost ten minutes, I'd say) on a few occasions... It seems to 'sit' on "loading video files" (of which there are none) and then the same on "loading audio files" (of which there are many)... I'm operating on a Dell desktop, P4, 3.6ghz, 2gb ram, XP SP2 etc.. I have (I believe) a related problem - for which I will start a separate thread, but here it is in outline - where the screen takes 30s or so to refresh when I switch from desktop to PT interface - or sometimes, vice versa: the PT audio continued to play when I'd already switched to the desktop - could not switch back, thus couldn't stop audio, which continued to play in background - bizarre! Can anyone assist, or guide me in the right direction for assistance? |
