Default simple question about transferring Waves plugins

If I paid a person for their used waves bundle, and rather than them transferring them into my name, they offer to just give me their waves login/pass to have to change the account into my name - is there a downside of doing it this way?

I know on their end they save the $150 transfer fee, but on my end ?- if they've already previously activated the software, etc.. am I limiting my licenses in any way by doing it this way?

any cons of doing it this way?

Should not be.

But do they have their system licenses activated via USB key or to the computer ?

I'm not sure exactly how they licensed it before they decided to sell- it's waves 9x.. I guess I may just try it this way then and see how it goes without the transfer process.

If it's his computer you can ask him to deactivate the plugs so you won't have any issues when u want to activate them

If it's the USB you can ask him to ship it to you or deactivate them off the USB

If it's using the Waves Cloud, as long as all the licenses are uploaded to HIS Waves Cloud you will have access to them I believe. You can then download them to your computer or a USB stick. Double check that but I believe that is correct.

Good luck with Waves support though, they're utterly useless and unhelpful.
