Default trad. mic grille for SM57?

I have an SM-57 that I want to use for live vocals. Preferably, I'd have an SM-58, but I'll make do. I have the foam pop filter that's made for it, but I don't really like it for live vocals. Does anyone know if I can buy a traditional vocal mic grille that I could put on it instead? That foam is just too delicate for live use.

I actually have one of these and the foam pop filter and have yet to figure out how to remove the traditional windscreen. How did you get yours off? mine comes about 1/4 of the way off and then stops. I'm afraid to really yank on it figuring I'm doing something wrong.

The A2WS is the best SM57 windscreen and has worked for lots a notable live singers(David Gilmour comes to mind) for decades. I actually prefer this combo over the SM58 but that's just me. I am not aware of any other option. If the foam is "too delicate for live use", then I would use a different mic(Beta58A or Beta57A are 2 excellent choices).

I never thought to ask "Mr Microphone" AKA albee1952 how to do this.

I have a A2WS i want to install.

Can I just yank the standard windscreen off? I'm afraid to really pull on it because I still remember pulling out my first P90 pickup.....

The foam pop filter that's made for the 57 actually just slides over the mic without any modifications or unscrewing anything on the 57. It just has a collar on it, and you tighten a mini screw that's built into the foam pop filter (that collar is to keep the screw from contacting the metal when you tighten it.)

Yeah, the directions were up inside the pop filter so I couldn't see them and since I hadn't opened it up I didn't realize it just slipped over the top. It should have been obvious but I didn't look that close. At first glance I thought it was intended to replace the exsisting wind screen.
