I use SATA drives (and controllers) with My 002R.

They are supported for the 002R.

i dont see them on the 001 page.

Quote:
Digi 001 & Audiomedia III/ToolBox Systems:

* Full 32 track, 24 bit, 48 KHz performance from just one dedicated IDE/ATA audio drive is supported. (SATA drives not tested with Digi 001 or Audiomedia III)

So they do not support SATA on 001. That doesnt mean that it will work, and that doesnt mean that it wont. http://www.digidesign.com/compato/xp/stg/le.cfm

I'm running a 2-port SATA PCI card with 2 WD Raptor drives (1 OS 1 audio) with my 002 and it works perfect.

MY friend uses 001 and he has SATA hard drives, so it works. Not sure about the SATA PCI cards.
