PT6, Digibase and long file names
PT6 is severely limited in the number of characters it can read from a file name.
I've got a lot of SFX files with full descriptions stored as very long file names that PT can't cope with. The DigiBase guide suggests that if the file names could be copied to the comments field in the files meta data, PT could then access, display and search the full file description. 1 - Is this right? 2 - Does anyone have an Apple script (or similar) that could automate this task. (I've got 10s of 1000s of SFX files so doing it by hand might lead to RSI!)
