I posted a while back with a problem of getting no sound from outs 3-8. I tried everything mentioned as a possible remedy and nothing worked.
Well, I have upgraded my computer with a new motherboard and processor, switched to Windows ME, upgraded to PTLE 5.1 and still no luck. (was doing all these anyway, is one reason I've waited to fix the trouble. Was hoping it had something to do with my old slow Celeron Win 98 first edition configuration) Everything else works fine. All inputs are good, Outputs 1 and 2 are crystal clear. Is there something I'm missing? Some way to tell the computer, hey you got more than 2 outputs over here! Like I said, I've tried every possible signal routing there is, checked the cable for damage, reseated the cable to make sure it is in good, but nothing works. I don't have to have those outputs, but dangit, when I buy something I expect it to work, you know? If anyone has any suggestion other than sending it to Digidesign for them to check it out, please tell me. I really don't need to have the unit gone for any length of time. Ran into that turning into 3 months longer than expected with a Seymour Duncan bass head a while back. Thanks in advance Tim Umstead |

if I were in your shoes I'd take it back where I got it and get a new one. That sounds like a defective unit. I wouldn't put up with that for a minute.

Hey Pag
In the mix window, above the faders there is a box that says some crap. like 1/2 if its a stereo track. 1,2, adif something like that. Its your output router. click on it. A box appears its says no output, output and bus. highlight output, then go down to analog 3 mono. click on it then your sound for that track should go out of the #3 output. Make sure your cord is connected to #3 and listen. If this doesnt work, I dont know wants wrong TriAxis

I am currently experiencing the same problem.
My outs 3-8 were working fine until I installed the new WaveDriver 1.7. Maybe you have installed this program as well? Quote:
