Default Ozone 7 standalone with Avid 192

I recently licensed a Music Production bundle from Izotope which includes Ozone 7. I use these various plug-ins in Pro Tools.

Should I be able to use Ozone 7 Mastering tool as a standalone product outside of Pro Tools with the Avid 192. I selected Avid Asio driver as audio device with no joy.

Nowhere near enough info to help. You can't give too much info here A wild guess; you are on Windows and USUALLY a Windows rig is best when Windows does NOT use the Avid hardware as its default playback device(in Sound>Properties). Of course, that means no sound comes out of the 192 except Pro Tools sound. My preference is to give Windows(and everything OTHER THAN Pro Tools) a good quality output path of its own. For me, its the optical SPDIF on the motherboard. That feeds the optical SPDIF input of my Presonus Central Station. Having said that, I don't see any issue just using Ozone inside of Pro Tools(which I do most of the time anyway)

I thought of that, but the Avid 192 does not even show up in the Windows Control Panel Sound section.

I'm assuming that ONLY Pro Tools can access the 192, and I'll have to connect another high quality two channel audio interface if I want quality out of other audio software.

I wonder what the purpose of the Avid Asio driver is, as that is showing up in the drop down menus, but no sound is coming out of the third party standalone software.
