Default Pro Tools ARA problems

I've been using Melodyne for a lot of years for pitch, timing etc. and usually on a lot of tracks. But I can't fully understand the workflow and idea of the integrated Melodyne.

How about opening Melodyne in a separate window? Am I missing something or is it really not possible?
I want a big separate window on my second screen so I can see and edit the stacks.

I get an error every time I open a session with ARA:
"Warning: The document being loaded was damaged and has been repaired automatically. To be safe, check your edits" Hello!! I have 25 channels with Melodyne, should I check all the edits???

And also getting the message "Saving ARA data" ...not possible to hit "play", you have to wait for it to finish. Time consuming!

Anyone have a solution?

Carry on using Melodyne as an insert and give Avid a few years to iron out the ARA thing.

You don't state which version of PT you are using.
PT 2022.10 fixed a lot of the "Saving ARA" messages.

In the same way they ironed out all the issues with Elastic? Still waiting for that day…

Heh, its a good thing we can still use Melodyne the old way. For quick fixes, ARA is dandy, but I suspect as much as Avid tested before releasing it to the world, there were(and probably always will be) surprises. Just glad ARA didn't screw up the old method
