Yes, well unbelievably this is an Intel binary rather than Apple Silicon native, so it's actually consuming resources unnecessarily if you are running Carbon without Carbon Pres.

Hello.
So i've had a couple carbons for two years now in different studios. Just purchased a carbon | pre to expand one system. I've loaded Carbon Central, run firmware updates etc.

Not able to adjust clock settings in Carbon Central. I understand that need to "disable" Carbon & Carbon Pre from AMS (Mac OS audio midi setup) and use Carbon Central but i must admit that i don't know what you mean by disabling in AMS.

Would you mean:
1. Simply making sure that in Audio Midi Setup some other device (ie...macbook internal speakers) is selected and not the many Pro Tools Carbon interfaces...
2. Delete Carbon interfaces from AMS?

Some clarification is appreciated. No dumb questions, right?

If it's #2 - then when i'm actually at my other studio running a solo Carbon - how should I best use it?

Thank you.

Scott

Go into AMS and launch the Network Browser (CMD-3) and untick Carbon.

You can't change the clock speed using Carbon Central. A bit of an oversight. You have to do it from inside PT. Which is uselss if you want to use a different DAW.
