Default PT le w/ G4 733/60gig HD question

Hi, I'm brand new and want to know if my new Mac G4 733/60gig HD and standard CD-RW can use PT LE out of the box to record without any external scsi HD and also burn CD's of music that I record. Sorry if this sounds too simple..I'm so new and so ready to learn...What software should I get to burn CD's and order the tunes..? I see Master link everywhere..can I get something cheaper for the time being until I learn more?

Hey there,
Yes your mac will work with pro tools le, youv'e even got the faster 60gig drive which is nice, you just need a soundcard, if you want to use pro tools you have the choice of the digi001 or the cheaper digi toolbox, either way before you buy anything you should download pro tools FREE from this site, it gives you limited tracks etc. but it will give you a feel for pro tools. As far as CD burning you should have got i-tunes with your new mac if not you can download it for free from the apple site. Take your time with buying a sequencer and soundcard, the great thing is you can download demos of almost all music software so just get downloading. The one thing that I have found is that integrated software and hardware is the way to go and if you do go with pro tools one of the best things about it is this forum.

Good Luck.
