Default Tascam\'s GVI in Standalone Mode with the 003R Interface.

I am using Tascam GVI softsynth inside of Pro Tools 7.3.1 with no problems. My audio/MIDI interface is the 003R. The problem I'm experiencing is when I go to use GVI in standalone mode. The output sound, regardless of the patch selected is some type of distorted sound. Hard to describe it actually.

The GVI Configuration shows the following: MIDI Input port = Digidesign 003 Control Port.

ASIO Driver = ASIO Digidesign Driver.

ASIO Sample Rate = 44100.

Now, when I click on the ASIO Control Panel button I see the Sample Rate but in the Device area there is nothing!!!

I believe that 003 should be present in the Device area but it's not. Clicking on the drop down box reveals no available selections. And if you click on the Advance tab I get the Alert stating "There are no Digidesign Cards in the system". Once again, GVI works perfectly within Pro Tools itself.

I would like to know if anyone else using GVI with any of the 00x's interfaces has been able to run it in standalone sucessfully. All of IK's softsynths as well as Artura's CS-80V see the 003 interface and run perfectly in standalone mode. While certainly no biggie, I find it helpful to work on developing patch tweaks in standalone and would appreciate any suggestions on how I might be able to make GVI see the 003 in the GVI Configuration Device window. I have not been able to find any posts in any DIGI Forum or on the Tascam website relating to this issue.

Thank you in advance for any assistance given.
