Tested it here on my PC Hackintosh. Both on macOS 10.15.7 and Windows11.

Working as expected on existing and new sessions. During playback and with the transport stopped.

Default Re: PT 2022.4 crash moving tracks to new Routing Folder [PT-286068]

Occasionally I forget about this bug and it allows me to create a new routing folder without a crash, but normally it crashes.

As a workaround I've been selecting the tracks I'd like in a routing folder, hold option + shift to assign the outputs of these tracks to a new track (Aux). When I do this, it creates a new Aux, but routes the new aux's output to it's input instead of setting it to my session's set default output. Clearly not a desirable result! I then have to change the output, right click the aux to turn it into a folder, and drag the desired tracks into the folder. What a hassle!

Working fine for me with Pro Tools Ultimate 2022.4 on a 2019 iMac with macOS 11.6.5. I did notice however that if I hit undo after creating a basic or routing folder, the folder track doesn't go away.

This is consistently happening to me on an i9 MacBook Pro running PT Ultimate, latest Monterey with any playback engine.

Also consistently happening on an iMac Pro running Pt Ultimate on latest Big Sur and HDX 2.

Driving me insane. Multiple other friends/colleagues are also experiencing this and complaining in the group chat .

Same problem here! 2022.4 has been an absolute nightmare so far. Creating routing folder in old or new session causes instant crash. Really annoying!! Also generally slow and sticky.

Okay, So I have a session file where this consistently happens:

Session File

When you open it, try to "Move to New Folder" the three string tracks that are highlighted and use a stereo routing folder and Pro Tools should crash.

Let me know if everyone else has this crash on their systems too.

Have not been able to reproduce your crash, routing folders seems to work fine here.

Yep, crashes for me when trying to use the shortcut to route tracks to a new routing folder. Have to create a blank folder track, and then manually route the audio tracks. Shortcut definitely used to work, so this is a new bug for 2022.4
