Neumann TLM 103 and Avalon 2022 ????

I already have a neumann TLM103 and planning to buy a Avalon 2022 preamp
Sombody using it ?????????
What i can expect ?? Im looking for that in your face vocal tracks !!!!!


And other question ; when plug the TLM to the preamp what next ???

The XLR out of avalon to my digi002 mixer XLR in ??
Does the Digi preamp add any color to this setting ????

use one of the analog inputs on the 002 (5-8) for the Avalon. XLR out of the Avalon to TRS into one of inputs 5-8.

When using a 103 for vocals I like to match it up with a colored preamp, like my Sebatron. When I put it through the clean Buzz Audio, it's all a little too honest for most singers... if you know what I mean.
I haven't used the Avalon, but I'm suspecting it will be a little too clean for the 103 on vocals.

As far as "in your face" is concerned, well it just as much to do with the quality of the vocalist and the acoustics in your room, as with the equipment you use.

hello guys i dont want to go off topic alot, but i dont want to make a new topic for this as this could have been answered. I have a digi002 that had the black lion mod on everything, i can hear the difference, but because im new to recording and dont have alot of high end or mid end equipment (so i can not compare), for those who know, how would you rate the digi002 preamps after the mod from blklion (what preamps are they closer to now?)?i heard alot of good things about the SYTEK with the brown-burr option, for those who know are the sytek's better than what im getting now of my 002 pre's, i mainly record vocals,oud (middle eastern guitar) and violen, some percusion, the main thing is the vocals, i have CAD VSM1 as mic (i like alot) and Rode NT1000 , thanks for any help
