Default PTLE Blue Factory Bundle?

Can someone please shed some light on this bundle. Decent mic? Price? I'm going to upgrade from my MBox to an 002R & I'm just curious. Sorry if this info is somewhere obvious...

Blue microphones are generally of a very high quality.
But.... Each model has its very own signature sound. So while you'll be getting a very nice microphone, it will not neccessarily suit you. If it does, then the Blue Bundle is worth every cent.
Where are you buying it from? Will they let you try the mic first?

I've heard the Blue Bottle through an Avalon and it was amazing but that's a pricey little package there.

What's included in the bundle?

Is this bundle only good with the Blue Bird Mic? I have a B.L.U.E Dragonfly Mic that I really love. I am hoping this "bundle" will be available to all and useful with other BLUE mics. Does anyone know?

Do a little searching and you'll find that the Bluebird mic is included in several bundles, Mbox Blue Factory, 002 Blue Factory, and 002R Blue Factory. Basically, they sell you a Blue mic that can't be bought alone, for about $650, if you buy one of the Factory bundles. For example, at Sam Ash, it's $1195 for the Mbox Blue Factory bundle, or $550 for the Mbox Factory bundle. The difference is the inclusion of the mic, shockmount and windscreen.

The same mic is available bundled with several Focusrite products.

I haven't seen any reports from actual users, but the mic has been reviewed in the press.

I have not had the chance to check out the BLUE Bluebird that they're bundling, but in general, BLUE makes some nice mics.

The BLUE "Baby Bottle" sells for around $500 all the time, with windscreen (not very effective IMO) and shockmount. They're definitely one of the better mics at that price point. A little lighter in the highs than a Rode NTK, but for someone who has a voice that doesn't work as well with the NTK, it would be one of my first mic recommendations at that price point.

Thanks tele player,

I don't really bother with U.S. stores because it can get pretty pricey getting things up here , but you're right I should have checked them for the info.
Thanks.
