Default how to make a midi track \"mute safe\" i.e. disable?

Using Mixplus 5.1.3. How can I make a Protools midi track "mute safe"? inotherwords, i have muted it, and i want it to stay "off" no matter if I option-mute and option-unmute all other tracks. Maybe there is some other command that will uniquely disable a track or put it in hiberation. I can certainly do this with audio tracks by specifying voice off. Specifying no output is a bit of a pain because whenif reenabling I have to find the proper instrument again. How to do it with a midi track??

thanxz again

Although there is no way to make a MIDI track inactive, I did find 2 solutions to your problem.
1. You could select all notes on the piano roll and mute them
- Put cursor on piano roll hit apple+a then hit apple+m
- To unmute do the same thing
2. You could make a new playlist on your MIDI track hiding the current playlist with notes
- Click the arrow next to the MIDI track name(in the edit window) select new from the popup menu
- To get the notes back click the arrow and select the first playlist exp: MIDI(1)

This should solve your dilema

Simply click on the little box and select off. That shuts that voice off(in the left-most box-edit window.)
