Default Issue bouncing Same as Source on Catalina

Hey all. I'm trying to bounce a quicktime video using Same as source on Catalina. Running Pro Tools 2021.6.

The issue is that I keep getting the following error.

AVE reported an error at the completion of audio/video export

I've tried bouncing using Apple Pro Res (Proxy, LT, and 422). Same error every time.

I'm not able to find ANY info on what that error actually means!

Real-time bounce, or off-line bounce? Try the other way if you haven't already. Next, try freezing or committing tracks(if that helps, then its likely a plugin)

Tried both ways, and also made a very basic session with just video and one audio track. No plugins....Get the same results. A real head scratch-er this one...

I'm suddenly having issues trying to bounce out a .mov too! It gets to the end, then gives me an "AVE reported an error at the completion of audio/video export" error message...

Just brainstorming, but is it possible that there are illegal characters in the file/folder/path name? I recall AVE being quite picky with characters in path names.

I worked with Avid on fixing Bounce to QT. You will need to update your software to the latest or check the quality of your movie conversions. Are all of your movie files from the same supplier or is it just a particular version? I have no issues here, but maybe try checking the QT files maybe convert using ffworks which I highly recommend for converting or Shutter Encoder..
I see you are new to the forum, so WELCOME!

Are you selecting just the actual video clip length?

I have the same problem.
I solved the problem by converting the original mp4 video file to mov. Then I've imported the mov file in Pro Tools. Then exported in mov.
