Mac sees HD Native Thunderbold but no audio device shows up

Thanks for the info. What's the history on this device? I presume it has been in operation and functional on other computer workstations?

I bought it on 27 feb 2019, for a project. But never got to use it. So it has been sitting on my studio desk for all that time, doing nothing. Today was the first time I hooked it up.

Could it be connected to firmware? In the Apple System Report it looks like it has firmware version 7.3.

But I get no pop-up for a firmware upgrade. What is the latest firmware version for the HD Native Thunderbolt?

Hi, I have the same problem.

Going to the HD native box via a cal digit dock (thunderbolt 4 element) -> apple thunderbolt 2 adaptor.

If I keep unplugging and replugging the box and restarting it sometimes works.

Incredibly frustrating.

Extensions loading correctly.

Please advise

I have the same problem in this couple day, digidal.kext loaded, system profile thunderbolt can see HDTB interface but it's not show on Audio Out list.
Novae Studios can u solve this problem? need help

Hi,

Just so we keep everyone posted and they don't think they are the only ones having issues and Avid goes silent... I have the same problem, both connecting through a Caldigit TS4 (which Avid said it wasn't supported ) or directly.

I opened a case with Avid, and after a week back and forth with screenshots, reinstalling drivers, clean installs, etc... they acknowledged the issue

Instead of rebooting what I do is kill the AvidAudioServer process, and sometimes it will just connect.

I also have another problem which would be good to know if anyone else has it as well, everytime I unplug the thunderbolt cable I get a kernel panic...

I have had the same problem since changing my interface from the Omni HD to the Aurora(n).
It became a habit to now open a protools session every time for all my computer audio because Ventura won't see the HD Thunderbolt 9-out of-10 times. Pretty frustrating since the Omni used to work without any problems without having to open a "PC Audio session" with the internal AUX I/O bridge routed to the PC audio out.
